About the British Science Association
The mission of the British Science Association is to increase awareness and understanding of the importance of science and technology in our lives today. The role of the Association is becoming increasingly important as more and more scientists and funding bodies appreciate the need to publicise the science which they perform (all the Research Councils now include public understanding of science activities within their remits). These publicity activities are of benefit to scientists themselves, as well as to the general public.
Events organised by the British Science Association include:
- National Science & Engineering Week, held each March
- The British Science Festival, held each September
- CREST awards for young scientists
- The Big Bang Fair
- Local branch activities
Visit the official British Science Association webpage for more information about the Association and its activities.
